Cholesterol-lowering effect of Red Yeast Rice (3P-D1, 3P-D2 & 3E-D20)
Red Yeast Rice naturally has HMG-CoA reductase inhibitors, including Monacolin K, which has been associated with decreasing the level of LDL cholesterol.

In the volunteer test with using the patients of hyperlipidemia, when everyone took 4g of Red Yeast Rice every day, the average of LDL cholesterol decreased by 24% after 2 weeks, and by 32% after 4 weeks. Cholesterol-lowering effect of Red Yeast Rice was obtained at the Medical Department of Chiba Universtity.
